Product Overview
Biochemazone Hard-Surface Cleaner Test Soils BZ631 give formulators two standard challenges for household and institutional cleaners. The greasy kitchen soil combines cooked-on fats and oils with particulate carbon, like the soil in the widely referenced ASTM D4488 washability method (withdrawn in 2009 but still used). The soap scum soil is a calcium-soap soil for bathroom cleaners, of the kind used in ASTM D5343 and the HCPA lime-soap method.
The soils are applied to tiles, panels or vinyl strips, aged or baked, and then cleaned with the product under test, usually on a straight-line washability machine. Cleaning is measured by reflectance or visual rating. The kitchen soil is oil-based and has no meaningful pH; the soap scum soil is dispersed in a solvent carrier and is about neutral (pH 6.5–8.0 when dispersed in water).
Soils are supplied ready to apply, with application and ageing guidance. Check the exact soil and substrate your chosen method specifies. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
