Product Overview
Biochemazone Riboflavin Test Solution BZ630 is a fluorescent tracer for proving that spray devices wet every surface of tanks, vessels and process equipment. Riboflavin (vitamin B2) glows yellow-green under UV light, is harmless and rinses away with water.
The solution is sprayed or rolled onto the inside of the equipment and allowed to dry. The cleaning or rinse cycle is then run, and the surfaces are inspected with a UV lamp: any fluorescence left behind shows an area the spray did not reach. This approach, often called the riboflavin test, is described in industry guidance such as the VDMA hygienic-design and ASME BPE practice. The solution has a pH of about 6.0 (range 5.5–7.0).
Riboflavin breaks down in light, so the solution is packed in amber bottles. Confirm the concentration your protocol requires; other strengths are available. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
