Product Overview
Biochemazone Artificial Menstrual Fluid Viscosity Grades BZ625 offer menstrual-fluid simulants in two consistencies. Menstrual fluid is not uniform: light days produce thinner, more watery flow, while heavy days produce thicker, more viscous flow with mucus and tissue. Pads, tampons, cups, discs and period underwear must perform with both.
The light-flow grade has a low viscosity for wicking and spreading tests; the heavy-flow grade is several times more viscous and tests acquisition speed, leakage and rewet under demanding conditions. Both are red, contain protein and mucin, and have a pH of about 7.2 (range 6.8–7.6), the near-neutral pH of menstrual fluid. The measured viscosity of each batch is stated on the certificate.
The grades extend our Artificial Menses Fluid (BZ266) and Artificial Menses Blood with Clots (BZ559). Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
