Biochemazone Artificial Hand Sweat BZ618 is prepared for ISO 9022-12 (Optics and photonics – Environmental test methods – Part 12: Contamination). Conditioning method 86 of that standard exposes optical instruments and components to basic cosmetic substances and artificial hand sweat, to check that coatings, housings, seals and markings survive being handled.
The solution reproduces the salts and organic acids left on a surface by sweaty hands and has an acidic pH of about 4.5–5.0, typical of skin-surface sweat. Each batch is prepared to the composition given in the standard, with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water, under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
