Product Overview
Biochemazone Demineralising and Remineralising Solutions BZ613 are the paired solutions used in pH-cycling models of dental caries and enamel erosion, a laboratory approach that goes back to the work of ten Cate and Duijsters (1982). Teeth or enamel blocks are moved between an acidic demineralising solution, which dissolves mineral as bacterial acids do, and a neutral remineralising solution, which puts mineral back as saliva does.
The demineralising solution contains calcium, phosphate and acetate buffer at pH 4.4. The remineralising solution contains calcium, phosphate and potassium chloride in a neutral buffer at pH 7.0. The calcium and phosphate levels are set so that the solutions create subsurface lesions rather than surface erosion, as in the widely used Featherstone-type regime.
The kit is used to test fluoride toothpastes, varnishes and remineralising agents, and to compare restorative materials. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water and checked for pH under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
Key Features & Benefits
✅ Matched Solution Pair – Demineralising and remineralising solutions
✅ pH 4.4 and pH 7.0 – Acid challenge and neutral repair phases
✅ Subsurface Lesion Chemistry – Calcium and phosphate set to model early caries
✅ Fluoride-Free – Test products add fluoride, not the solutions
✅ pH Checked Every Batch – Recorded on the certificate
✅ Single Solutions or Kits – Buy one solution or the pair
✅ ISO 3696 Grade Water – Prepared using high-purity laboratory water
✅ Made in Canada – Manufactured under ISO 9001 / GMP quality systems
