ASM is widely used for cultivating respiratory pathogens, particularly Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and studying chronic lung infections, antimicrobial resistance, and mucus-embedded biofilms.

Preparation Instructions

1. Add powder to sterile deionized water as per product insert or reconstitution instructions.
2. Mix until fully dissolved (stirring or gentle heating may be used).
3. Sterilize by autoclaving (if required for sterile applications).
4. Cool and store at 2–8 °C. Use within 5–7 days once reconstituted.
